I breed Original Reindeer Herders and Lapponian Herders. The reindeer dogs of the Sami in Mountain Lappland were long or short-coated herding dogs. The stock I breed is descended from these dogs. I don't put the emphasis on breeding a particular conformation, but on maintaining this stock as original as possible, genetically wide and healthy.

The Original Reindeer Herders have been bred separately from the rest of the Finnish Lapphunds for over 20 years. I want the breeds to remain distinct.

Concerning the preservation of the Lapponian Herder and the Original Reindeer Herder, I want to emphasize the breeds' qualities in reindeer herding. That is why I actively participate in reindeer herding tests and competitions with my dogs.

I wish to co-operate particularly with devotees of original domestic animal breeds.
